Important Electrical Information for Glass Fusing Kilns, Ceramic Kilns and More

Centre de Verre, in addition to serving as the provider of hundreds of different colors of glass on hand for various glass fusing projects, is your go-to source for finding the right glass or ceramic kiln for you. We take great care to match professionals, artists and novice glass fusers alike with the right kilns, glass kiln supplies and ceramic kiln supplies. Before our customers head home with the right kiln and the information they need to take on exciting glass slumping and ceramic projects, we make sure that they’re aware of certain attributes of their kiln: Some kilns, like Jen Ken kilns, require certain electrical specifications, and some glass fusing enthusiasts may not know before they purchase their first kiln.

Jen Ken Kilns all come with plugs that have NEMA (National Electrical Manufacturers Associations)-assigned receptacle and plug numbers. Centre de Verre can configure your kiln to function on your electrical system in your home or workspace for no additional charge, unless you’re in need of a 3-phase configuration which requires a small fee.

For those looking to take on glass slumping and glass fusion projects with their new Jen Ken kilns, we’ve compiled a photo-heavy list of NEMA receptacle and plug numbers:
