This large, deep square kiln is 27 inches across and holds a shelf that is 24 inches square with the corners trimmed off. A 24 inch glass kiln, with its 21 inch round shelf, will fire a 14-in square. This kiln will fire a 19-in square or a 16 x 23 inch rectangle. This kiln offers the height to slump drop rings and large draped glass projects. If you are fusing a lot of smaller glass pieces, the Jen Ken tall Square-ish kiln offers about 80% more volume than a comparable 24 inch kiln while occupying about the same footprint!
